LANNY QUARLES
The great
difficulty
in writing about the work of Lanny
Quarles is the known fact that one will never be able to do his
work justice. Layer upon layer of information can be seen in his work
and it truly speaks to the nature of today´s intellectual milieu
- a deluge of impossible to navigate knowledge sets that intertwine,
interconnect and coexist along side of private, secret and personal
worlds that will remain forever anonymous.
Mr Quarles is a poet of spiritual realms impossible to speak about and
how they intersect with the various written and graphic languages that
human kind has thus far devised to express the incomprehencible.
We present a number of examples of digital collage art by Mr. Quarles.
Each
is a limited edition print on high quality water color paper AND an
open edition on photographic paper. The colors are amazing and it is
impossible from these small images to see the extraordinary amount of
detail and information there is in each one of these pieces.
